Our History

In 1979, Mary Bradley’s son David died after an 8 year battle with Cystic Fibrosis. At that time, her and her husband could not find any means of emotional support in a group setting. Feeling so alone, trying to deal with the pain and emotions, she thought other parents may feel the same way.

This brought her to start a support group in 1987, with the hope new parents would know their feelings along their grief journey were normal. Mary wanted to help in any way she could, and formed the Bereaved Parent Support Group. Now with over 30 years running, the group continues to support families and parents with their grief journey.
